Shrek 2

Shrek 2 is a fun filled family film that will entertain all of the family regardless whether you are 2 years old or 92 years old, this film has it all. Simple slapstick comedy but with adult undertones that will have you all laughing.

The basic story centers on Shrek, an ogre who has married his love Princess Fiona in the previous film "Shrek?. In this film they begin by setting off to go and visit Fiona's parents, which then involves a huge amount of trouble and strife. The plot centers around a pact made by the fairy godmother and King Harold for the hand of Fiona to her son who is Prince Charming. Donkey features also heavily with his relationship with the wonderful Dragon from the first film coming under "fire" should we say!

In this film the old favorite's Donkey, Dragon and Puss In Boots who are a huge barrel of laughs still feature heavily. This film brings together all of the old characters from the first film and includes a few new ones which adds to the incredible rollercoaster ride of huge ups and big downs. Princess Fiona's voice is lent to her by Cameron Diaz and the loveable Shrek's voice is provided by the amazing Mike Myers. Gain Eddie Murphy plays the Donkey and Antonio Banderas as Puss In Boots.

The new characters include Julie Andrews and John Cleese, as the Queen and King of Far Far Away and a wonderful interpretation of a fairy Godmother voiced by Jennifer Saunders. Other famous actors and actresses that lend their voices to various popular characters in the film include; Andrew Adamson, Aron Wrner, Cody Cameron, Conrad Vernon, Joan Rivers, Kelly Asbury, Larry King and Rupert Everett. As you can see this is a high A list collection of actors and actresses which is fitting for Shrek 2 as this film is a fun filled delight to watch.

At the box office it did exceptionally well and when it was released onto DVD the sales were even higher. DreamWorks have produced another fantastic film in Shrek 2 and there is word that there will be a Shrek 3 to follow in the future, although this is yet to be confirmed. If you are looking for an easy film to watch which will make you laugh so hard that you will fall off your chair then this is the film for you.
